The Children's Plan - How's It Going?

It's a quiet news day so today's post points you towards a site which is following the progress of the Children's Plan.

Launched in December 2007 (see previous post for details), the Children's Plan was designed to shape children's services for the next decade. This mini-site, developed by the people behind Children & Young People Now, brings together news stories and opinion pieces relating to the Plan, and will continue to be updated as relevant information becomes available.

I think the children's plan is a good idea. Vision first, then execution. Obama's stimulus plan has provided $410 billion toward early childhood education initiatives. Since I am in the business of preparing high quality early childhood teachers at Rasmussen, this is great (and long awaited) news! I hope your plan for children works and I hope our stimulus plan makes a difference for children too! Cecelia Westby, U.S.

Hi Cecelia

Thanks for leaving a comment (I'm always trying to persuade people...)!

I always try to stay neutral when presenting information on here so it's not for me to say whether or not the Children's Plan is / will be a success. That said, given the credit crunch and a possible change of government next year, it will be interesting to see how much of the Plan gets carried out in full.
