Children's Services in Birmingham
A local flavour to today's post - it's been announced this morning that children's services in Birmingham are to get a special commissioner (Lord Norman Warner) to oversee their work. This is one of the outcomes of a newly published independent report into the state of children's services in the city, following a number of high profile incidents and critical reports.
