Time for another archive film clip. The short video below contains extracts taken from a 1962 BBC programme called The Schools (courtesy of the BBC's Hands on History site), and includes clips taken from classrooms of the time, as well as interviews with teachers. Often when viewing these films it's interesting to see how many of the ideas they contain are still relevant to today, but in this case I suspect that some of the teachers' views expressed here might be frowned upon now!
