Quality and Inequality

The Nuffield Foundation has recently published a new report entitled Quality and Inequality, which argues that nurseries based in deprived areas are offering a poorer standard of early years provision than those in more affluent areas. The research was carried out by academics at the University of Oxford, and analysed data from over 1200 settings in England. One of the report's main recommendations calls for an increase in the number of graduates working in nurseries, playgroups and preschools. To read the full text, click here.
