The Family and Childcare Trust has just published a very useful report for anyone with an interest in early years policy. Where Next for Childcare? takes the 2004 Childcare Strategy as it's starting point, and then reviews in some depth the various initiatives that successive governments have employed over the last decade to tackle childcare accessibility, affordability and quality. So if you'd like to understand current policy in the context of previous developments, this is an excellent place to start!
